What is the Career ExpressWay program?
This program identifies, prepares, trains, and integrates young Canadians into meaningful, well-paying jobs in the trucking and logistics sector. A career in trucking can provide you with long-term career opportunities in an innovative field and access to specialized training opportunities that ensures Canada’s supply chain keeps moving.
- Up to $10, 000 driver training subsidy
- Up to $15,000 in wage subsidy per employee

Am I Eligible
Candidates must meet the following criteria:
- 30 years old, and under (inclusive) at the time of intake/selection
- Canadian citizens, permanent residents, or persons who have been granted refugee status in Canada
- Legally entitled to work according to the relevant provincial/territorial legislation and regulations
Opportunities Fund Program
The Opportunities Fund program helps persons with disabilities prepare for, obtain, and maintain employment to increase their economic participation and independence.
The Opportunities Fund program offers a range of occupations in the trucking sector that can be tailored to meet the individual needs of persons with disabilities.
The training and wage subsidy for this program is available to all persons who self-declare as someone with a disability.
Persons who are currently unemployed and living with disability(ies).
- Currently Underemployed
- Working less than an average of 20 hours per week; and
- Actively seeking employment or increased employment; and
- In receipt of a notice of imminent lay-off, or
- Must leave their current occupation due to medical reasons
- Living with a disability
- Self-identifies as having a permanent physical or mental disability.
- Legally entitled to work in Canada

The wage and training subsidies provide up to 100% of the salary paid to the employer and tuition for entry-level driver training (training subsidy). There is no set length to the wage subsidy but typically they will last between 3 to 6 months.

The Career ExpressWay program is only for those up until the age of 30.
