Top Fleet Employers scholarship
Samsara has partnered with Trucking HR Canada to support the next generation of trucking leaders with a new scholarship.
The one-time $5,000 scholarship will be awarded to a post-secondary student whose parent works in the trucking and logistics industry, helping to invest in the future of Canada’s transportation sector while honouring the families who keep it moving.
Applications open until June 30, 2026.
To apply, students must:
- Be a Canadian resident.
- Be 25 years old or younger on January 1, 2026.
- Be enrolled full-time in an accredited publicly funded Canadian college or university that is a minimum of 2 years in length, and that will lead to a diploma or degree. You must provide proof of enrollment in a full-time in publicly-funded Canadian university or college.
- Be the child or ward of at least one parent who is employed by a THRC Top Fleet Employer in good standing.
Note: Only the scholarship winner will be notified. Scholarship funds will be advanced to the recipient’s post-secondary institution and will be credited to the account identified by the student number provided in the online application.
Application requirements:
- See below for the full online application. Make sure you review, understand, and complete all the application requirements before you submit your application.
- You must upload a 2-minute video sharing a personal story about your parent’s work in the trucking and logistics sector. Use one of the three prompts below.
- An interview with the assessment committee may be requested.
- You must download the employment confirmation form, fill in your information, then ask your parent to send to their manager or company representative for verification and signature.
Be ready to upload:
- One piece of government-issued identification with your name, picture, and birth date (eg: driver’s licence).
- Proof of enrollment. (If proof of enrollment cannot be supplied at time of application, it must be provided no later than June 30 of the application year.)
- Completed confirmation of parental employment with a Top Fleet Employer company. Important: download the fillable PDF first, save with your name in the file name, and ask your parent to send to their manager for completion.
- Your two-minute vertical video (social media style). Note: your video will NOT be assessed on editing/production quality.
