OTTAWA, ON (September 15, 2026) — Trucking HR Canada (THRC) will celebrate all 98 Top Fleet Employers of 2026 at its annual Awards Gala in Toronto on October 14, with special recognition for 10 fleets marking a decade of leadership in workplace excellence.
“Reaching the 10-year milestone reflects a deep and sustained commitment to people and workplace excellence,” says Angela Splinter, President and CEO, THRC. “These fleets have continued to evolve, meet new workforce challenges and invest in strong HR practices year after year. They are setting the standard for our sector and demonstrating what it means to lead the way.”
Achieving this milestone requires much more than longevity. Each year, participating fleets must undergo a rigorous assessment and demonstrate that they continue to meet the program’s high standards. Their sustained commitment to their people and ongoing efforts to strengthen their workplaces have established these fleets as leaders in Canada’s trucking and logistics sector.

Top Fleet Employers is a national initiative that recognizes fleets whose HR policies and practices meet the highest standards in the sector. It is not a competition, but a rigorous annual assessment of employers across a range of criteria, including skills development, workplace culture, employee engagement, recruitment and retention, compensation, sustainability, community engagement, and innovative HR practices. Employees also provide direct feedback about their workplaces.
The 2026 TFE cohort includes fleets of all sizes and industry segments from regions across Canada. Fleets recognized in the program for five, 10 or more consecutive years earn Top Fleet Employer of Distinction status. In addition to the 10 fleets celebrating a decade in the program, five fleets will receive special recognition for reaching the five-year milestone this year.
