OTTAWA (ONTARIO), September 15, 2026 — Yesterday, Trucking HR Canada (THRC) welcomed three more organizations to the Women’s Leadership Accord in a special ceremony at the Bridging the Barriers conference in Oakville presented by the Women’s Trucking Federation of Canada.
This brings the total to 73 organizations committed to creating great workplaces for women and taking concrete action to recruit, retain, and support women, encourage their success, and showcase opportunities in our sector for a fulfilling career.
“The continued growth of the Women’s Leadership Accord shows that employers across our sector recognize the business value of building workplaces where women can succeed,” says Angela Splinter, President and CEO, Trucking HR Canada. “As Top Fleet Employers, these organizations have already demonstrated their commitment to leading workplace practices. By joining the Accord, they are taking further concrete action to expand opportunities for women and strengthen our sector’s workforce.”

The Women’s Leadership Accord was launched by THRC in 2025. Recognition ceremonies have been held at events across the country to recognize organizations committing to meeting the program’s four pillars: gender equity, inclusivity, safety, and empowerment. Organizations can earn a Certificate of Excellence by demonstrating what they already have in place in the areas of leadership, attraction and recruitment, retention, health and safety, and community engagement.
